A 19-year-old Wisconsin man has been convicted of a 'planking' spree that included him lying on top of a police car, a bank ATM machine and a Walmart checkout counter.
Alexander Hart was found guilty of disorderly conduct.
'Planking' photos that were posted earlier this year on his Facebook page, as well as an incriminating YouTube video, were used as evidence against him in court.
When confronted by police officers, Hart said that the photographs were taken 'to get laughs', reports The Smoking Gun.
He plans to contest his disorderly-conduct charge, saying he was 'just having fun'.
The teenager also claims his freedom of speech may have been violated by the action of police officers.
Planking is a worldwide craze that involves posing for photos or videos of oneself lying face-down, straight as a board, in unusual places.
A police captain told the Manitowoc Herald Times that people can plank on their own parked vehicles.
But they should not be doing it on other people's property.
Capt. Scott Luchterhand says it 'goes without saying' that officers do not want people planking on squad cars.

Judge Steven Olson fined Hart $303 for his 'planking' despite claiming that the images had been photo-shopped in a police report.
His escapades were photographed by his brother Ryan, who himself faces a disorderly conduct charge next week according to The Smoking Gun.
